Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are beautiful people! Bringing good people like these and good causes together is what we do. In this section, you will find resources to get you started and keep you going.

To see a list of all available volunteer opportunities simply scroll down (below) or, if you prefer, begin (above) by clicking on a skill that interests you or a particular location (city) where you'd like to volunteer.

Once you find opportunities that are of interest to you, click on "Volunteer Now". You will be able to volunteer for up to three opportunities at a time.

After selecting your preferred opportunities, click on "Confirm and notify organizations" and then on "Acknowledge Interest". The organization(s) will respond to you within two working days.


  • Tutor For Adult Students

    Opportunity Start Date - End Date: 7/31/2017 - 7/31/2018

         Organization: Kosciusko Literacy Services
         Frequency: Weekly
         Location: Warsaw

    Volunteers are needed to tutor adult students who are:

    · Learning to read.

    · Earning a High School Equivalency Diploma

    · Learning English as a second language. 

    Volunteers are asked to:

    · Tutor during the day or evening hours. 

    · Tutor one or two hours per week.  

    Kosciusko Literacy Services works in cooperation with the Warsaw Adult Education at

    Gateway Education Center.

    Licensed teachers are on-site.

  • Mentor

    Opportunity Start Date - End Date: 2/24/2017 - 1/01/2018

         Organization: Rock Solid Teen Center
         Frequency: Weekly
         Location: Syracuse

    Adults who are interested in building a caring relationship with teens and making a positive difference in their lives. You will spend time with the youth each week during Rock Solid. This includes involvement in activities and eating together. At least a twelve month commitment is strongly encouraged.

  • Be a Lunch Time Hero! (Leesburg)

         Organization: Big Brothers Big Sisters
         Frequency: Weekly

    Can you spare 45 minutes during lunch once a week? Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for caring adults to mentor children at an elementary school near you! We currently have children waiting for someone like YOU to spare just 45 minutes each week to play games, eat lunch, do homework, and read. You need lunch, and they need YOU, so contact us to become a mentor TODAY!

  • Mobile Meals Delivery

    Opportunity Start Date - End Date: 8/01/2017 - 7/31/2018

         Organization: Kosciusko Community Senior Services
         Frequency: Weekly, Monthly
         Location: Warsaw

    Kosciusko Community Senior Services is currently in need of several volunteers to deliver meals for the Mobile Meals program. Over 100 hot meals are delivered daily, Monday through Friday, throughout Kosciusko County, to senior adults who are unable to provide a healthy meal for themselves. There are several routes in the area, each taking approximately 1 to 2 hours to complete. Each volunteer will be assigned to one route and can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly or monthly to best accommodate their own schedules. Dependable transportation is required.
