Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are beautiful people! Bringing good people like these and good causes together is what we do. In this section, you will find resources to get you started and keep you going.

To see a list of all available volunteer opportunities simply scroll down (below) or, if you prefer, begin (above) by clicking on a skill that interests you or a particular location (city) where you'd like to volunteer.

Once you find opportunities that are of interest to you, click on "Volunteer Now". You will be able to volunteer for up to three opportunities at a time.

After selecting your preferred opportunities, click on "Confirm and notify organizations" and then on "Acknowledge Interest". The organization(s) will respond to you within two working days.


  • BABE Boutique Volunteer

    Opportunity Start Date - End Date: 5/15/2018 - 12/31/2018

         Organization: Heartline Pregnancy Center
         Frequency: As Often As Desired
         Location: Warsaw

    We are in need of volunteers to help us operate our BABE Boutique, an extension of Heartline Pregnancy Center. Families can use earned BABE coupons to redeem baby essential items in our store in the K21 Health Pavilion. This volunteer would be in charge of greeting the clients, helping them shop and special order items, sort through donated items and price them, sort and bundle diapers, and so much more!

    Our store hours are Monday-Wednesday 12pm-5pm, Thursday 9am-5pm, closed Fri-Sun. Volunteers would be able to work anytime during open hours. We ask that you commit to a minimum of 1 hour shifts. 

    Background check & TB test required (will be compensated). Must be 16 years old.

  • Mentor

    Opportunity Start Date - End Date: 4/11/2018 - 5/30/2019

         Organization: Rock Solid Teen Center
         Frequency: Weekley
         Location: Syracuse

    Adults who are interested in building a caring relationship with teens and making a positive difference in their lives. You will spend time with the youth each week during Rock Solid. This includes involvement in activities and eating together. Commitment for a full school year is strongly encouraged.

  • Records Scanning Operator

    Opportunity Start Date - End Date: 4/06/2018 - 1/15/2019

         Organization: Cardinal Services
         Frequency: Weekly
         Location: Warsaw

    Cardinal Services needs a volunteer to help scan client paperwork. Every document pertaining to a client must be scanned into their record, so this is an ongoing neccessity. Training will be provided.

    Cardinal's offices are open Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. If you volunteer for this position, you may choose to work a day/time that best fits your schedule.

  • HR Documents Editor

    Cardinal's HR Department wants to recreate documents in Word format. Currently, many are in pdf. We are looking for a volunteer who is proficient in Word to help with this project. 

    Cardinal's office hours are Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm. If you volunteer for this position you may choose a schedule that best fits your needs.

    Looking for a Once-in-a-While Way to Help?

    Cardinal Services holds varied events throughout the year, ranging from our annual luncheon to our company 5k. We are always in need of volunteers to help us with these events. Your donation of time will usually consist of one pre-event meeting to get your assignment and instructions, and the event itself. 

    We are looking for people to be in a pool of potential volunteers we can call upon to help at these events. You will not be committing yourself to each event - only to be on the contact list. You choose which events to help with.

  • Food Pantry Assistant

    Food Pantry 

    • Assist clients as they fill their food order
    • Help bag and count items in client’s cart
    • Assist in carrying out client’s bag to their car

  • Clothes Pantry/Sorting Assistant

    Clothing Pantry

    • Remove empty hangers and store in sorting room
    • Re-hang, refold, reorganize fallen clothes
    • Pick up trash off the ground, sweep the floor
    • Make sure there are plastic bags in the tub

    Sorting Room

    • Check donations for holes, stains, missing buttons, etc.
    • Save Christmas, Halloween, seasonal items, etc.

  • Tutor For Adult Students

         Organization: Kosciusko Literacy Services

    Volunteers are needed to tutor adult students who are:

    · Learning to read.

    · Earning a High School Equivalency Diploma

    · Learning English as a second language. 

    Volunteers are asked to:

    · Tutor during the day or evening hours. 

    · Tutor one or two hours per week.  

    Kosciusko Literacy Services works in cooperation with the Warsaw Adult Education at

    Gateway Education Center.

    Licensed teachers are on-site.

  • Mobile Meals Delivery

    Opportunity Start Date - End Date: 8/01/2017 - 7/31/2018

         Organization: Kosciusko Community Senior Services
         Frequency: Weekly, Monthly
         Location: Warsaw

    Kosciusko Community Senior Services is currently in need of several volunteers to deliver meals for the Mobile Meals program. Over 100 hot meals are delivered daily, Monday through Friday, throughout Kosciusko County, to senior adults who are unable to provide a healthy meal for themselves. There are several routes in the area, each taking approximately 1 to 2 hours to complete. Each volunteer will be assigned to one route and can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly or monthly to best accommodate their own schedules. Dependable transportation is required.
