Kosciusko Literacy Services (KLS) provides volunteers to tutor adult students who are learning to read, earning an Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma, or learning English as a new language. Kosciusko Literacy Services works in cooperation with the Warsaw Adult Education at the Warsaw Community School Corporation’s Gateway Education Center. KLS contracts with a teacher to provide high school equivalency instruction at the Kosciusko County Jail. Kosciusko County pays for two hours of instruction per week. With United Way funding, Kosciusko Literacy Services pays for an additional two hours of classroom instruction per week. KLS is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit and a United Way agency.
